Brent is proud to announce Tope Alli-Balogun will be the Head Coach for the Women’s programme this 2022-23 season. This season will be the Bulls debut in the Women’s National Basketball League Division 1, the second highest tier of female basketball in the UK.
Brent Bulls Women’s completed a fantastic 2021-22 season, including the South Division 2 title (13-1) and promotion to D1 despite falling short in the playoffs in the semi-finals to Sheffield Hatters.
It’s an exciting time to be a women’s coach in the UK and I’m really excited to be one of the lucky few coaches who gets to help move things forward.

When asked about his expectations, challenge and ambitions for the club, Coach Tope is optimistic for success with Brent.
Brent has a chance to follow on from a stellar season in D2 last year with a playoff run in D1 this coming season. The biggest challenge for us undoubtedly will be the integration of new pieces and finding a way to be successful together.

Coach Tope brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the club, working at the highest levels of basketball with the best talent here in the UK. Our ambition as a club is to grow and compete with the best, I believe Tope is the right coach to help us get there. We will support him and his ideas as he helps leads and develops our women’s programme in Brent.

Tope Alli-Balogun has worked with the GB Female National Junior programme whilst coaching with the London Lions, the University of East London and Barking Abbey in recent years. His role will also include overseeing the female junior development in Brent.
